For CBSE Class 11 and 12 students

CUET (UG) maths for CBSE students

CUET (UG) is the entrance test for many central and other universities. Its Mathematics paper is short multiple-choice questions on mostly Class 12 topics, so the CBSE chapters you are already studying are the syllabus. Speed and accuracy decide the score.

At a glance

  • Maths is the domain subject "Mathematics/Applied Mathematics", code 319 (2026 information bulletin).
  • The syllabus document describes one paper with Section A (common to Mathematics and Applied Mathematics), Section B1 (Mathematics) and Section B2 (Applied Mathematics). CBSE Mathematics (041) students normally take B1. to confirm
  • Each paper has 50 questions, all compulsory, in 60 minutes (2026 information bulletin).
  • Marking: +5 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong answer, 0 if not answered (2026 information bulletin).
  • The Mathematics syllabus is based on Class 12 topics: relations and functions, inverse trigonometric functions, matrices and determinants, calculus (derivatives, integrals and their applications, differential equations), vectors and three-dimensional geometry, linear programming and probability. to confirm

Every question is multiple choice, so you can check an answer against the options, and a quick estimate often rules two of them out.

Which CBSE chapters it uses

13 of the 27 chapters in CBSE Class 11 and 12 Mathematics are in recent CUET (UG) syllabuses. The full table, with the other exams side by side, is on the chapter map.

How to practise

  1. Secure each Class 12 chapter with the board-style questions on our Class 12 chapter pages.
  2. Do the CUET-style questions in each chapter set; aim to finish each one in about a minute.
  3. Sit a timed CUET-style set: 25 questions in 30 minutes.
  4. Learn the quick results in Formulas and strategy so you never derive them in the exam.
