The four steps in every chapter
Class 11 maths is examined by your school, on CBSE's syllabus: 80 marks of theory and 20 of internal assessment. The questions here use the same kinds of question as the board papers you will sit later.
Secure the basics

95+ stretch
The higher-order items that separate 95 from 90. Optional until the chapter's step 3 checkpoint is passed.
Move on when the checkpoint is passed (80%). A checkpoint missed twice in a row means going back one step.
A plan for the school year
About 146 hours of chapter work in all (our estimate; schools teach at different speeds, so follow your school's order where it differs).
- April to September: chapters 1 to 7 as your school teaches them, steps 1 to 3 of each within two weeks of finishing it in class; step 4 when step 3 is passed.
- Before each school exam: two weeks of mixed practice on every chapter it covers, using each chapter's "where marks are lost" list.
- October to January: chapters 8 to 14, the same way, plus step 4 on the earlier chapters.
- The last four weeks before the annual exam: step 2 and 3 checkpoints of every chapter again, closed book and timed, and redo every question that loses a mark.
The weekly rhythm
