Accessibility
We want every student to be able to use the site, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
What we do
- Every page works with a keyboard, with visible focus and a skip link.
- Maths is typeset with MathJax, which screen readers can read, and every question card has a "Read aloud" button that speaks the question using your browser's built-in voice.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content, and pages work on narrow phone screens without sideways scrolling.
- Colour is never the only signal: statuses always carry words ("Passed", "Not started").
Known limitations
Some diagrams in mark schemes are described in words rather than drawn, and the read-aloud voice depends on the voices installed on your device. Printed worksheets use the same maths typesetting, so they can be enlarged before printing.
